About

Welcome! My name is K.J. Bagley and I am thrilled that you stopped by.

My mind can be pretty tumultuous at times and what better way to work that out than to share it all with all of you.

So, here is the rundown, I believe that we all suffer equally, that is not to say that all tragedies are alike but that instead, our perspective is what dictates our level of suffering. Now, having said that, I also believe that our ability to grow from suffering is also equal. I personally have dealt with intentional suicide (my child), she survived the gun shot, accidental overdose (my mother), betrayal (my ex-husband) and a multitude of other losses that, compared to the first ones, no longer rate on my personal scale. That is not to say that those things would not be just as devastating on another’s personal scale or any less valid. The things listed above are the ones that I am most likely to use in my day to day life to remind me, “Hey I am still here! Life is good.”

The intention of this blog is two fold.

First things first, if anything I have to say helps anyone else that may be in need of these reminders, that is priority one. My hope is that by laying these difficult internal thoughts bare and exposing them to light someone else may see them and think, if this person can be honest and happy with themselves maybe I can too. That would be great. I should probably follow this up with the fact that I do not have the answers. Yes, you read that correctly, I have none. The more soul searching I have done, the more I have discovered that I know exactly bupkis and that is perfectly fine by me.

Second, I am writing these days. As a matter of fact I just published my first book, The Hierophant’s Bridge. I love the book but as it was my first, I am sure it is chock full of literary errors. It was suggested that I blog to help hone my skills and exercise my brain, so here we go.

Stick around and I promise that the journey will be full of unique insights, spinning gold out of hay, learning to say what I mean and realizing that life isn’t all rainbows and unicorns but believing that the best is yet to come anyway!
